Most people on occasion go out to a restaurant and having a few drinks with a meal, or watch a game and have a few beers. However, with the legal limit of 0.08, what does this mean- – how many drinks are too many? Typically, for a 175 pound person, 3 drinks in two hours will produce a blood alcohol level of 0.08. If drinking for 3 hours, it would take 4 drinks. Anything over 4 drinks, and your risking getting stopped and arrested for DUI.
The problem with being stopped is when the police officer smells the alcohol on your breath. It only take a beer for this to happen. The officer will start a DUI investigation and have you submit to Field Sobriety Tests that are unfair and you’re more than likely to fail.
