A “Drug and Alcohol Evaluation” is a review of your consumption of drug and alcohol use.
The evaluation consists of two parts: 1) interview and 2) multiple choice questions.
A urine test is not a standard part of the evaluation, however, can be requested if the evaluator has a suspicion that you may be under the influence of a drug or alcohol.
The evaluation takes approximately 2 hours and costs between $150.00 and $220.00.
Certain counties require that your drug and alcohol evaluation is performed by a specific agency. In Cook County, Illinois the drug and alcohol evaluation has to be performed by Central States Institute (C.S.I.), in DuPage County is has to be performed by the DuPage Probation Department. Lake County the evaluation has to be performed by Nicasa.
In the following counties the drug and alcohol evaluation can be performed by any licensed drug and alcohol evaluator: Kane, Will, Kendell, DeKalb, and McHenry.
