I represented a client in Kankakee, Illinois on November 13, 2013, who was charged with DUI. He was stopped by an Illinois State Trooper for speeding and improper lane usage. My client submitted to all of the field sobriety tests and submitted to a breath test which registered a 0.11. The legal limit is 0.08.
I filed a Petition to Rescind the Statutory Summary Suspension, (6 month suspension). I was able to negotiate an agreement whereby the DUI, the statutory summary suspension and the speeding charge was dismissed. My client pled guilty to improper lane usage and received a $750.00 fine.
This was a great result.
